Skopje, 27 January 2025 (MIA) – MPs Marija Petrushevska, Bisera Kostadinovska-Stojchevska and Bekim Qoku make up the Parliament delegation that is taking part in the winter session of the Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) in Strasbourg, held on January 27-31.

The winter session will tackle several issues, including the urgent need to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the Georgia elections, held in October 2024, immigration, risks involving rule of law and human rights caused by mercenaries and the call for comprehensive regulation, women in economy and gender-based budgeting, regulation of social media content in order to protect freedom of expression and fighting against discrimination against older people, Parliament said in a press release. 

Also, a presentation of the report on multiperspectivity in remembrance and history education will be followed by a ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz death camp.
