Parliament adopts amendments to Law on Child Protection
- The Parliament, during its 31st session on Tuesday, adopted the amendments to the Law on Child Protection in the third reading, following the approval of the final amendment from the six submitted by VMRO-DPMNE and ZNAM MPs.
Skopje, 21 January 2025 (MIA) – The Parliament, during its 31st session on Tuesday, adopted the amendments to the Law on Child Protection in the third reading, following the approval of the final amendment from the six submitted by VMRO-DPMNE and ZNAM MPs.
The general debate on the draft law on amendments to the law on prevention and protection against violence against women and domestic violence, and the draft law on amendments to the law on equal opportunities for women and men, ended without discussion. Both laws, in their first reading, were approved to move forward to the second reading and to Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men and Legislative Committee.
This afternoon, the Parliament adopted the 2025 financial plan of the Insurance Supervision Agency, as well as the proposed decisions on the 2025 work program and financial plan of the Civil Aviation Agency, both in their second reading. MPs will be notified later about the voting schedule.
The Parliament will also vote on the financial plan for amending the financial plan of the public broadcasting enterprise Macedonian Radio-Television for 2024, with additions and reallocation of funds, as well as on the financial plan for amending the financial plan of the public broadcasting enterprise Macedonian Radio-Television for 2025, with additions and reallocation of funds.
Deputy Speaker Vesna Bendevska ended the 31st session and set the continuation for Wednesday at 1 pm.
