Skopje, 3 November 2025 (MIA) - The number of employees in industry in September decreased by 2.8 percent compared to the same month in 2024, said the State Statistical Office on Monday.

The number of employees in industry in section Mining and quarrying decreased by 2.0%, in section Manufacturing it decreased by 2.9%, and in section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 0.6%.

The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings was lower in Energy by 1.8%, Capital goods by 6.4% and Non-durable consumer goods by 2.8%, but higher in Durable consumer goods by 4.8% and Intermediate goods, except energy by 0.2%.

The number of employees in industry in period January - September, compared to the same period in 2024, decreased by 3.7%.
