Negotino, 14 February 2026 (MIA) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski offered his best wishes on St. Tryphon Day to all winegrowers and wished them an abundant harvest and good prices.
At a celebration of what he said was the most important holiday for the entire Tikvesh Region, Nikoloski said “the good news has already arrived” and that “the government has fulfilled its obligation and subsidies have been fully paid" to all winegrowers.

“I hope this will serve as motivation and encouragement for this season to bring a good harvest and for farmers to be even more motivated to work harder," Nikoloski said.
"We will continue to support them and continue to stimulate agriculture. The prices we can see this year are truly good and I hope that next season we will have even better prices and that every year we will keep doing better because hard work has to be valued and domestic production has to be encouraged,” he said.

Nikoloski also said Macedonian wineries were competitive on the international market.
“A few days ago, I was in Paris where Macedonian wineries competed side by side with the best European wineries," the deputy prime minister said.
"It was truly a source of pride to be there and see how they stand shoulder to shoulder with European companies and wineries, offering top quality and, some of them, even surpassing European wineries,” he added.

He also said the government would continue supporting infrastructure products.
“The mayor has an ambitious agenda. She has our government's support. I am speaking both as transport minister and as deputy prime minister. We will continue to support her in the upcoming period, as the construction season begins, when weather conditions improve. I look forward to the completion of numerous projects that are under way,” Nikoloski said, adding that there were also new projects in the works.

Nikoloski is attending St. Tryphon Day celebrations in Negotino, Demir Kapija and Kavadarci together with Minister of Agriculture Cvetan Tripunovski. mr/
