Skopje, 7 March 2025 (MIA) — The National Opera and Ballet is staging "La dame aux camélias" ballet based on Alexandre Dumas' novel put to music by Giuseppe Verdi in his "La traviata."

Maria Kichevska Shokarovska and Francisco Giménez Ruiz will perform the leading roles, accompanied by the National Opera and Ballet ensemble and orchestra.

Armenian conductor Eduard Ambartsumyan will conduct the orchestra. The concertmaster is Verica Lambevska.

The choreography is by Russian choreographer Vasily Medvedev of Moscow's Bolshoi and St. Petersburg's Mariinsky theaters. The set and the costumes were designed by Pavol Juráš from Slovakia. mr/
