Skopje, 21 January 2025 (MIA) — The National Opera and Ballet is staging Tuesday the children's ballet "Doctor Ouch-It-Hurts," based on Russian children's writer of the Soviet era Korney Chukovsky's best-known book.

According to the NOB in a press release, "the classic ballet tale illustrates the eternal battle between good and evil, in which, as always, good will prevail." 

"The performance captivates the youngest audience with its beautiful music, colorful costumes and scenography, and children follow it with great enthusiasm," the release says.

The music for the "Doctor Ouch-It-Hurts" ballet was written by Ukrainian composer of the Soviet era Igor Morozov. 

The choreography was designed by Russian balletmaster Mikhail Krapivin. Performing the ballet will be the dancers of the National Opera and Ballet. 

The set was designed by the late Zhivojin Trajanovikj and the costumes were designed by Marija Pupuchevska. mr/
