Mucunski – Landau: Strategic partnership with the US reaffirmed at meeting

Brussels, 3 December 2025 (MIA) - The potential for further enhancement of North Macedonia’s cooperation with the United States in several areas of mutual interest was the topic of discussion at Wednesday’s meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski and the United States Deputy Secretary of State, Christopher Landau, held on the sidelines of the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, at the meeting Mucunski and Landau reaffirmed the close and friendly relations between the two countries, as well as the firm and constructive cooperation with the U.S. as a strategic partner.

“Talks also covered topics related to the role of the U.S. in the stability and development of the Western Balkans, with an emphasis on the cooperation within NATO and its importance for collective security,” the Ministry said in a press release.
Minister Mucunski highlighted the country’s contribution within NATO and its consistent actions as a constructive and reliable partner in the region.
