Minister Murtezani meets European Council's Anna-Maria Boura

Skopje, 1 December 2025 (MIA) - As part of his working visit to Brussels, Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani met Monday with Anna-Maria Boura, Chief Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of the European Council.
Interlocutors exchanged views on the current situation and dynamics in the process of North Macedonia's accession to the European Union, as well as on broader geopolitical circumstances and the role of the enlargement policy in maintaining stability and prosperity in the region, the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.

"Minister Murtezani highlighted the Government's commitment to full alignment with the Union's common foreign and security policy, including in the context of the Russian military aggression against Ukraine, as a confirmation of the country's strategic commitment to EU membership and its role as a trusted partner. He also noted progress in the implementation of the Reform Agenda and the Growth Plan, as well as the implementation of the roadmaps for public administration, the rule of law, minorities and foreign investment, which constitute the basis for continuing the accession process and using the Union's financial instruments," reads the press release.
The Ministry adds that "Boura welcomed North Macedonia's progress in fulfilling the obligations of the accession process, expressing readiness for further support from EU institutions in implementing reforms and using the opportunities offered by the new Growth Plan for the Western Balkans."
"Both sides agreed that ongoing political dialogue and a constructive approach are key to maintaining the positive momentum and accelerating North Macedonia's European integration," the press release reads.
