Skopje, 4 February 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski alongside government representatives laid flowers Tuesday on the tomb of Goce Delchev in Skopje on occasion of the 153rd anniversary of his birth.

Mickoski congratulated the anniversary of the birth of the revolutionary, adding that the Macedonian Government should maintain a tradition of honoring the anniversary since, he said, Goce Delchev is a part of the Macedonian identity.

“We believe that the Macedonian Government should have a tradition of honoring this day in the future, since Goce Delchev is a great Macedonian hero, who is a part of the Macedonian identity, and his work must never be forgotten,” Mickoski said.

In honor of the anniversary of Macedonian revolutionary Goce Delchev, several delegations laid flowers on his tomb at the St. Spas church in Skopje which has housed his remains since 1946.
