Local elections runoff to be monitored by 1,598 observers – 933 domestic, 651 foreign
Skopje, 1 November 2025 (MIA) - Sunday’s local elections runoff will be monitored by 1,598 observers, including 933 domestic observers and 651 foreign observers, as well as 14 foreign journalists, the State Election Commission (SEC) said Friday.
Skopje-based NGO “Wake Up” has the highest number of domestic observers – 685.
According to data from the official website of the State Election Commission, the most international observers accredited for the 2025 local elections are from ODIHR – Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights – 500, the U.S. Embassy in Skopje – 30, the European Parliament – 18, and the British Embassy in Skopje – 11.
