Law to regulate special financial cooperation with Hungary: gov't

Skopje, 24 July 2024 (MIA) - The Government tasked Wednesday the Ministry of Finance to draft a Law that regulates the special financial cooperation with Hungary regarding the EUR 500 million loan.

The funds will be used for capital projects in municipalities and the domestic econony, the Government said in a press release after today's session.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications briefed the Government it has reached an agreement with company "Sinohydro", contractor of the Kichevo-Ohrid motorway, to withdraw its case against the State Roads public enterprise before the International Court of Arbitration in Paris.

In this way, EUR 50 million to be spent if the arbitration proceedings continued have been saved, said the Government.
