Skopje, 19 March 2025 (MIA) - Health Minister Arben Taravari told journalists the last group of injured from the Kochani fire that need to be treated outside the country will leave Wednesday. The Minister said two patients will be transported to Sweden at 11:30 a.m., followed by three more in the afternoon. Some patients being treated abroad could start to return over the coming days, he said.
“The last transport of patients is today. There will no longer be treatment for patients outside the country, we can even expect some of them to return over the coming days. Today there is just one more group being transported to Sweden and this is the end. There is no further need for patients to be treated outside the country,” Taravari told journalists at a press conference on Wednesday morning.
Taravari said it’s good news that 72 hours have passed and none of the injured have died. All patients, according to the Minister, are stable.

A total of 178 patients are receiving treatment at various health facilities, 64 of which are being treated in state hospitals in Macedonia and 13 in private hospitals.
