Ohrid, 1 June 2026 (MIA) - Handball club Ohrid won the European Cup, the European Handball Federation's (EHF) third-tier competition, after beating Hungary's Tatabanya over two legs.
After the one-goal away win (28:29) last week, Ohrid beat Tatabanya 31:25 in front of a packed "Biljanini Izvori" arena on Sunday evening.
Ohrid is taking over the trophy from another Macedonian team, Alkaloid, which won the cup in 2025.

"We deserved the win. We worked hard all year long, match after match. I would like to thank the fans, the players, the club management, they were all exceptional. A wonderful year, one that we will always remember," said coach Boris Rojevic after the win.
The title celebrations continued on the streets of Ohrid late into the night.
