Athens, 5 November 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis spoke about the very good climate in bilateral relations, said the Greek Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Lana Zochiou in response to a question from MIA’s correspondent in Athens over the meeting between Mickoski and Gerapetritis at the Berlin Process Summit held two weeks ago in London.
The Summit was held on October 22. At the time, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted photos on social media platform X from Gerapetritis’s meetings, including one with Prime Minister Mickoski. During Wednesday's regular press briefing, Zochiou said the two discussed topics that were on the agenda of the meeting between the foreign ministers of the two countries a little over three months ago in Athens.
“Regarding the meeting on the sidelines, what they spoke about was the very good climate in bilateral relations, which was also mentioned during the visit of the Foreign Minister in July this year, specifically on topics related to deepening cooperation in the sectors of trade and investment,” said the Greek MFA’s spokesperson.
Speaking about the London Summit on the Western Balkans, Zochiou reiterated that the head of Greek diplomacy, during his participation, “reaffirmed Greece’s support for the accession perspective of the Western Balkans,” but also emphasized that integration must be carried out with full respect for European legislation, international law, democratic principles, and the rule of law, as well as good neighborly relations and regional cooperation.
“Of course, the Minister stressed that the peoples of the Western Balkans must be given a vision to accelerate this process, which began with the Greek initiative 22 years ago through the Thessaloniki Agenda,” Zochiou said.
