Skopje, 29 January 2026 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski held Thursday a phone call with EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos, with talks focusing on ongoing economic challenges and the European integration process.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, interlocutors discussed concrete and sustainable solutions for challenges facing professional transport operators, as well as the issue of steel tariffs. 

"In that context, Minister Mucunski stressed the need for timely and coordinated action to avoid negative economic effects," reads the press release. 

As regards the country's European integration path, it adds, Minister Mucunski reaffirmed strong commitment to the reform process, continuity in implementation, and the adoption of legislation central to the European agenda.
