Dimitrieska-Kochoska: 2026 draft-budget an economic message of stability, trust, and growth

Skopje, 14 November 2025 (MIA) – This is more than just another document with numbers and tables, it is an economic message of stability, trust and growth as well as clear proof of responsible management of public finances that we have established and continue to implement at full capacity, Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska said Friday presenting the 2026 draft-budget before the Parliamentary Finance and Budget Committee.
The Finance and Budget Committee will begin amendment discussion of the draft-budget.
“The 2026 budget proves that we can manage wisely, with discipline and vision, even during challenging times. It reflects a growing economy, a state that invests and a competent government,” Dimitrieska-Kochoska said.
After presenting the projections, she added that she expects a well-argued, quality, and productive discussion from the Finance and Budget Committee.

After Dimitrieska-Kochoska, the Fiscal Council Chairman, Abdulmenaf Bexheti, spoke to the committee members, presenting his perspective on the proposed budget.
Next year’s draft-budget projects total revenues of Mden 374.7 billion (€6.08 billion), expenditures of Mden 413.9 billion (€6.71 billion) and capital investments of Mden 40.5 billion (€650 million). Economic growth is projected at 3.8 percent, inflation at 2.5 percent and the budget deficit at 3.5 percent of GDP.
The plenary session to discuss the 2026 draft-budget is scheduled for December 9.
