CMC: Over 20 outdoor fires in past 24 hours, three still burning
Skopje, 6 August 2024 (MIA) – A total of 23 outdoor fires were recorded in the past 24 hours. Of those, three are still burning and six have been contained, whereas 14 have been put out, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said Tuesday.
The three fires that are still burning are reported in the municipality of Makedonski Brod near Jasen national park, on Ilinska Mountain near the municipalities of Demir Hisar and Ohrid and on the territory of the municipalities of Bogdanci and Dojran.
The single emergency number 112 registered over 2,500 calls in the past 24 hours.
