Skopje, 27 March 2026 (MIA) - Ohrid is hosting Friday the Fifth Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the South East Europe Delegations to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA).
According to the parliamentary press service, opening remarks at the Forum will be delivered by Afrim Gashi, Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, OSCE PA President Pere Joan Pons (via video message), OSCE PA Secretary General Roberto Montella, Head of the OSCE Mission to Skopje, Ambassador Kilian Wahl, OSCE PA Vice-President Eugenio Zoffili, , OSCE PA Vice-President and Special Representative for SEE Kyriakos Hadjiyianni and Monika Zajkova, Head of North Macedonia’s Delegation to the OSCE PA.
The topic of the Forum’s first session is “Cyber-attacks in Southeast Europe and damage caused in recent years” with speakers including Minister of Digital Transformation of the Republic of North Macedonia Stefan Andonovski, Head of Albania’s Delegation to the OSCE PA Blendi Klosi, digitalization and cybersecurity specialist Metodi Hadzi Janev and Steven A. Newton, Principal Cyber Capacity Engineer at MITRE Corporation.
The Forum’s second session will focus measures undertaken and future activities aimed at preventing cyber-attacks in the SEE region, followed by an open discussion on cybersecurity and legislative support.
