North Macedonia marks sixth anniversary since joining NATO
Skopje, 27 March 2026 (MIA) - The Republic of North Macedonia is marking Friday six years since joining NATO as its 30th member, thus realizing one of its main strategic objectives that was part of a Parliament resolution adopted back in 1993.
On 11 February 2020, the Parliament unanimously ratified the North Atlantic Treaty, followed by the signing of the Instrument of Accession to the North Atlantic Treaty on March 20 by then-President Stevo Pendarovski.
On 27 March 2020, the United States, as a treaty depositary, received the Instrument of Accession, making North Macedonia NATO's 30th ally.
