Mickoski in Munich: We don't need endless process, but well-deserved, predictable European future

Skopje, 15 February 2026 (MIA) — Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski took part in the roundtable discussion "Open Door or Open End: Fulfilling the Promises for EU Enlargement" at the 62nd Munich Security Conference, where he presented the country's positions on the EU's enlargement process.

In a post on his Facebook profile, PM Mickoski said his message was that the region deserved a predictable future as part of the bloc.

"The message is simple: Macedonia and the region do not need an endless process, but a well-deserved and predictable European future. It is time for the reforms and the work of our citizens to be properly valued," he wrote.

In Munich, Mickoski met with European Council President Antonio Costa; Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky; Special Presidential Envoy for Special Missions of United States Ambassador Richard Grenell; Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof; American Jewish Committee CEO Ted Deutch and Goldman Sachs Global Institute co-head Jared Cohen. mr/mr/
