VMRO-DPMNE wins 55 mayoral seats, Vlen - 9, SDSM 6, NAI - 4
Skopje, 3 November 2025 (MIA) - The VMRO-DPMNE-led coalition has won mayoral seats in 54 municipalities and the City of Skopje, as per State Election Commission (SEC) results from the two rounds of the local elections.
The Vlen coalition follows with 9 mayors, SDSM - 6, National Alliance for Integration (NAI) - 4, ZNAM - 1, Union of Roma - 1, along with one independent candidate.
Voting did not take place in four municipalities - Gostivar, Vrapchishte, Centar Zhupa and Mavrovo-Rostushe - due to the low turnout in the first round. A new vote will be held within 60 days from the publishing of the final results of the local elections.
