Twelve patients to be discharged from Skopje hospitals today, four to five still in critical condition abroad

Skopje, 25 March 2025 (MIA) – Health Minister Arben Taravari said that 12 out of the 39 patients receiving medical care in the country after the tragic Kochani nightclub fire, will be discharged from Skopje hospitals today to continue their recovery at home. One of the patients treated abroad is expected to return from Belgrade today and resume treatment in Skopje.

Of those receiving treatment outside the country, four to five patients are still in critical condition.

“Unfortunately, four to five patients remain in critical condition, with some showing signs of deterioration. However, our colleagues in the hospitals where these patients are being treated doing their utmost to help them through this difficult period,” Taravari stated at a press conference on Tuesday.

He stated that there will be no patients at the Clinic for Pediatric Surgery, while some will continue treatment at the Clinic for Plastic Surgery and the Toxicology Clinic. Additionally, six patients will remain hospitalized at the St. Naum Ohridski City General Hospital.
