Skopje, 31 March 2025 (MIA) - The Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones (TIDZ) has been ranked 15th among 50 institutions in the integrity implementation report by the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (SCPC), achieving a 61.1% compliance rate in the integrity system.
The monitoring included 72 central government institutions, 72 local self-government units, and 16 institutions from the judicial sector. The result achieved reflects a significant improvement, rising from an "average" level to a "good" level compared to 2023, when the compliance rate was 39.2%.
All of this is due to numerous activities that were undertaken, such as the adoption of: guidelines for managing conflict of interest, guidelines on gifts and hospitality, the code of ethics, regulations for amending and supplementing the rules on the use and management of official vehicles, and guidelines for amending and supplementing the guidelines for implementing official travel. Additionally, training on corruption prevention and the integrity system was also conducted.
According to the TIDZ Directorate, integrity is a key factor in building strong institutions and gaining the trust of citizens.
“The integrity system, as a strategic tool for preventing corruption and enhancing transparency, ensures the coordinated enforcement of laws, ethical codes, and policies, establishing a clear framework and effective mechanisms for their application and protection. As an institution, the Directorate continues its efforts to improve and comprehensively implement the integrity system. This achievement is a testament to its commitment to legal, independent, impartial, ethical, responsible, and transparent operations, safeguarding its reputation and eliminating risks and doubts regarding the potential emergence and development of corruption,” as stated by the Directorate.
