State Roads enterprise publishes invitation for prequalification for the construction of Bukojchani – Kichevo motorway
- The Public Enterprise for State Roads has published an invitation for prequalification for the construction of the Bukojchani – Kichevo section of motorway E-65, and its 5-year maintenance. The call will be open until March 17, 2025, and has been published on the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) Client e-Procurement Portal (ECEPP). The construction of the 10.2 km motorway is being funded with an EBRD loan.
Skopje, 4 February 2025 (MIA) - The Public Enterprise for State Roads has published an invitation for prequalification for the construction of the Bukojchani – Kichevo section of motorway E-65, and its 5-year maintenance. The call will be open until March 17, 2025, and has been published on the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) Client e-Procurement Portal (ECEPP). The construction of the 10.2 km motorway is being funded with an EBRD loan.
According to previous statements by the institutions, the total projected cost of the motorway section stands at EUR 132.7 million, of which EUR 110 million are being funded with an EBRD loan, while EUR 19.8 million are an investment grant from the Western Balkans Investment Framework.
The design consists of dual carriageway, each with two 3.5 m wide traffic lanes with a design speed of 100km/h. The works also include construction of interchanges, bridges, culverts, one tunnel, drainage channels, gutters, berms and retaining walls.
The 10.7 km long road section between Bukojchani and Kichevo is a part of the Pan European Road Corridor VIII that passes through the country, starting at border with Bulgaria and ending at border with Albania.
