Skopje, 30 November 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova participated Sunday in a Diplomatic Charity Bazaar held under the patronage of Austrian Ambassador Martin Pammer in Skopje on occasion of World Children's Day. At the event, the President was presented with a certificate of appreciation for her contribution.
“This year, in the splendor of international diversity, the Diplomatic Charity Bazaar once again became a place where solidarity connects cultures. I enjoyed the cultural variety: the tables filled with artistic items that represent different countries, the unique products, the delicious food, but most of all, the smiling faces of children, cheerful people, and the beautiful music. The certificate of appreciation for my modest contribution, from ‘Dobredojde’ and the Embassy of Austria, reminded me that the essence of charity is most strongly expressed when directed toward children. It is impressive when holiday magic takes on a profound human dimension,” the President wrote in a post on her official Facebook profile.

The Diplomatic Charity Bazaar, which attracted a large number of visitors, aimed to raise funds to improve hygiene conditions in two primary schools, for all students, including children with disabilities.

At the event, it was noted that the initiative is of exceptional importance for the community and that the diplomatic community jointly contributes to creating better and more dignified conditions for the development of children.

Many embassies had their stands at the event, where visitors could taste traditional dishes from different countries, as well as purchase authentic gifts, handicrafts, souvenirs, and other unique items. Among the participants were the embassies of Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Japan, China, as well as the Delegation of the European Union and the Confucius Institute.
