Pole vaulter Duplantis improves world record yet again

Berlin, 13 March 2026 (dpa/MIA) - Olympic champion Armand Duplantis has set his 15th world record, this time in front of a home crowd in Sweden.
At the Mondo Classic indoor meeting in Uppsala, so called because of his nickname, he cleared 6.31 metres on his first attempt.
Duplantis improved his own world record from the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo last September by 1cm.
The 26-year-old plans to compete at the World Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland next week when records could fall again. Pole vault records count inside and out.
His last major championship defeat was almost seven years ago.
