Skopje, 5 October 2024 (MIA) - The launch of the enlargement and reconstruction works of the Deve Bair border crossing with Bulgaria will take place on Saturday, in the attendance of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, Deputy PM and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski, World Bank country director Massimiliano Paolucci and Customs Administration director Boban Nikolovski.

In the framework of the World Bank project on facilitation of trade and transport in the Western Balkans, the Deve Bair enlargement and reconstruction will develop in two stages.

The first stage encompasses the construction of a new administrative building at the cargo terminal and reconstruction of the administrative building within the border crossing, worth Mden 96 million (EUR 1.6 million). In addition, import, export and transit procedures will be handled from a single point, thus making the work of economic operators easier and cut times for completion of the customs procedures.
