PM Mickoski meets UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Skopje, 14 April 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, who is heading a government delegation on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), said he expects fruitful and successful meetings that will strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.

"We started the day with an exceptionally high-quality and friendly meeting with His Highness, the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. At the meeting, we both highlighted the need for much closer relations, much more fruitful relations, and I, on my part, briefly explained our goals as a Government, and at the same time, I invited His Highness, the President of the UAE, to visit Macedonia, and naturally, the business community from the UAE to closely look at all opportunities for direct investment in the areas of tourism, infrastructure, energy, agriculture and so on - something that, I am convinced, can represent a solid basis for our bilateral and deeper cooperation," said PM Mickoski.

As part of the official visit to the UAE, PM Mickoski and the government delegation visited the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, an architectural masterpiece built of white marble, a symbol of spirituality, tolerance and unity.

"This mosque is not only one of the most impressive religious and cultural landmarks of the Emirates, but a place that brings together tradition and modernity, opening its doors to people of all faiths and nations. The visit left a strong impression and is a reminder of the importance of mutual respect, understanding and dialogue between nations," Mickoski posted on Facebook.

In the coming days, PM Mickoski will hold meetings with the Chambers of Commerce of the Emirates - Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, as well as many meetings with companies that are present in the region and have shown interest in investing here, at home in Macedonia, the Government said in a press release.
