Skopje, 24 April 2025 (MIA) - Judiciary reforms are ongoing and the required pieces of legislation should be adopted by the end of June, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski while casting doubt that anything would function properly if the mindset of individuals did not change.
"We will adopt the laws required by the Peer Review Mission Report, but I assure you, even the best laws are useless if the mindset of individuals doesn't change. This is proving to be a difficult task here. I do not expect any brilliant breakthroughs but we are here to make an effort and fight," PM Mickoski told a Q&A session in Parliament.
According to him, in such circumstances, one cannot expect brilliant solutions even if the most brilliant laws are adopted, because "if there is no one to bring justice, everything is useless".
On the Judicial Council, the PM said that despite the no-confidence vote in the Parliament, its members are still in the posts.
"Do you expect anything from these people? I don't," said Mickoski.
