North Macedonia draws 1-1 against Wales in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers
Skopje, 26 March 2025 (MIA) – Football teams of North Macedonia and Wales played to a 1-1 draw (0-0) in the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday at Toshe Proeski Arena in Skopje.
Bojan Miovski scored the opening goal in the 91st minute, but David Brooks equalized in the final moments of the six-minute stoppage time.
In the 59th minute, the fans paid tribute to the 59 victims of the Kochani nightclub fire on March 16 with a loud applause.
After the first two rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, North Macedonia has secured 4 points.
The national team’s next match is on June 6 against Belgium in Skopje.
