Skopje, 7 April 2026 (MIA) - The Strategic Dialogue with the United States reaffirms our role as a credible ally and partner, said Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski, who is heading the Government delegation at the dialogue's second session in Washington on Tuesday.

"Today, I am heading the delegation at the second session of the Strategic Dialogue between the two countries that we opened alongside Brendan Hanrahan, Senior Official for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs. This dialogue is an important format for promotion of bilateral cooperation and confirmation of the strong alliance and strategic partnership," FM Mucunski wrote in a Facebook post.

He adds that talks will focus on key areas, including regional and global affairs, defense and security, energy and economic cooperation, cyber and digital security, as well as strengthening border security and managing transnational threats.

"The second session of the Strategic Dialogue validates the joint commitment for peace, security and prosperity, and further strengthening of transatlantic ties. The Dialogue reaffirms our role as a credible ally and partner, with clear commitment to mutual values and stability of the region," says FM Mucunski.
