Mucunski – Fajon: Slovenia to help North Macedonia meet EU membership conditions

Brussels, 3 December 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade met Tuesday with his Slovenian counterpart, Tanja Fajon, on the sidelines of the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels.
According to a social media post by the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, at the meeting, the ministers discussed the European perspective of North Macedonia.
“Slovenia has been a strong supporter of EU enlargement, and we will do our best to help you fulfil your commitments to meet the conditions for membership,” Fajon said at the meeting.
In a statement before the ministerial meeting, Fajon welcomed the appointment of Radmila Shekerinska as NATO Deputy Secretary General, assessing it as a recognition for the country and contribution to greater gender equality.
