Skopje, 6 February 2025 (MIA) - Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski met Thursday with the new Italian Ambassador to the country, Paolo Palminteri.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the meeting reaffirmed the continued cooperation between the interior ministries of the two countries.

“Both parties touched upon current cooperation projects within the IPA program aimed at strengthening the institutional capacities in dealing with crime against cultural heritage and environmental crime, as well as EU assistance aimed at strengthening the fight against migrant smuggling and human trafficking,” the Interior Ministry said.

Interlocutors expressed joint readiness to intensify cooperation both on a strategic and operational level as partners committed to regional and global security, the Ministry said.
