Minchev: Macedonia, Serbia strengthen public administration cooperation
- Cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Serbia in the sphere of public administration enters a new and more concrete stage with defined activities and clear mechanisms for implementation, Minister of Public Administration Goran Minchev said during his visit to Belgrade, where he met with Serbia’s Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Snezana Paunovic.
Belgrade, 20 March 2026 (MIA) – Cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Serbia in the sphere of public administration enters a new and more concrete stage with defined activities and clear mechanisms for implementation, Minister of Public Administration Goran Minchev said during his visit to Belgrade, where he met with Serbia’s Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Snezana Paunovic.
“Today’s meeting is an important step in deepening institutional cooperation, mainly in human resources management, preparation of public policies and information system development,” Minchev said noting that the framework established under the 2024 Memorandum of Cooperation is being upgraded with concrete measures.
Delegations from the two ministries in the meeting reviewed ways to improve the training system through exchange programs, establishment of trainers’ network and linking the e-learning digital platforms, the Ministry of Public Administration said.
“We agreed on exchange of programs and setting up a joint network of trainers,” said the Minister adding that study visits and exchange of civil servants aimed at sharing experiences are also planned.
A working group will set up to monitor the implementation of agreed activities, coordinate and check the progress made, said the press release.
