State Audit Office: Country unprepared for rapidly aging population
- The average age in the country rose from 32 in 2000 to nearly 42 in 2024, driven by a low birth rate and high levels of emigration. This trend has left the nation with fewer workers to support a growing number of retirees, according to a new report released Thursday by the State Audit Office.
