Kratovo, 16 January 2026 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, along with Kratovo Mayor Todorche Nikolovski and Deputy Prime Minister in charge of political system, Ljupcho Dimovski, attended the opening of Kratovo’s newly renovated sports hall on Friday.

Mickoski noted that his presence, together with the Deputy Prime Minister, other government officials and MPs, sends an important message to Kratovo and its citizens that the government remains committed to supporting projects that benefit the local community.

“Several projects are being carried out using funds that the government has redirected from the central budget to the municipalities, and this process will continue in the years ahead. Our priority as a government is the welfare of the citizens. Everything that represents their needs we aim to implement. I congratulate the opening of this wonderful facility and hope that many more athletes and talents will emerge from it,” Mickoski said.

Kratovo Mayor Todorche Nikolovski said that this project has once again shown that investing in sports and providing conditions for people to engage in physical activity is the most valuable investment for all generations.

“Kratovo municipality has over the past period, acted consistently and responsibly constructing several playgrounds and sports fields with modern surfaces and standards. With a new roof, windows and doors, elastic flooring, interior improvements, renovated stands, toilets, fire safety, and other security measures, this facility now provides the conditions that young people deserve,” Nikolovski said.

He noted that, with government support, several additional major projects are being carried out in social and child protection, and in road and transport infrastructure.
