Skopje, 16 October 2025 (MIA) - Trial in the case of Kochani nightclub "Pulse" fatal fire will begin in the courtroom at the Idrizovo penitentiary on November 19, said the Skopje-based Criminal Court on Thursday.

Judge Diana Gruevska Ilievska will preside over court proceedings, after the case was distributed to her through the ACMIS system (Automated Court Case Management Information System).

The fire that broke out at the Kochani nightclub on March 16 claimed the lives of 63 young people and left over 200 injured.

Business owners, managers, inspectors, mayors, security guards and public officials are indicted in the case.

In June, the Kochani Public Prosecutor's Office dropped the charges against 11 people, including two former government ministers, for lack of evidence, and brought indictments against 34 individuals and three legal entities on charges of serious crimes against public safety.
