Skopje, 4 April 2025 (MIA) - Health Minister Arben Taravari confirmed reports about the death of a burn patient who was being treated in Lithuania for injuries suffered in the fire at the “Pulse” nightclub in Kochani. The Minister told journalists on Friday the patient had burns on 40 percent of his body and suffered kidney failure on April 1.
According to media reports, the patient was the manager of the “Pulse” nightclub, Aleksandar Karadakoski.
“He suffered kidney failure on April 1 and was practically put on dialysis. Unfortunately, this morning I received the bad news that he died. Let’s hope the condition of the other critical patients improves. The patient who died had burns on 40 percent of his body. In the end, the main problem was the infection he got due to the vast wounds on his body,” Taravari said.

The latest death raises the number of victims of the fire that broke out at the “Pulse” nightclub in Kochani on March 16 to 60. Around 200 people were injured in the fire.
