Foreign ministers Mucunski, Sa'ar hold phone talk

Skopje, 27 January 2025 (MIA) — Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade spoke by phone with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar about deepening bilateral ties with a special focus on economic, technological and scientific cooperation.


According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, the two foreign ministers discussed the possibilities for exchanging experiences and knowledge in areas such as education, health, agriculture, startups, technology, tourism and culture.


They also exchanged views on the current regional and global situation as well as the relations between the two countries.


Mucunski congratulated Sa'ar on his recent appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, stressing that his leadership role came at a challenging period for Israel.


Also congratulating Sa'ar on the recently freed hostages and the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, Mucunski said this was a significant humanitarian step forward and an opportunity to establish lasting peace in the entire region.


The foreign minister also spoke about the observance of International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, higlighting the honoring the Jewish community and its legacy.


The two ministers agreed to continue close communication and cooperation in the interest of both countries, the release said. mr/
