Skopje, 17 January 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski received Friday the credentials of the new Japanese Ambassador to North Macedonia, Setsuko Kawahara.

Mucunski and the Ambassador welcomed the development of bilateral relations so far and discussed potentials for further promotion of the overall cooperation.

“A special emphasis was placed on opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the economy, trade, tourism, culture and education. The need to expand the framework agreement as a basis for further concrete realization of projects and activities was also highlighted,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.

Minister Mucunski and Ambassador Kawahara exchanged opinions on current international issues, including foreign policy priorities and the situation in the immediate surroundings of both countries.
