EU Ambassador Rokas to visit Kumanovo

Skopje, 23 January 2025 (MIA) - EU Ambassador to North Macedonia, Michalis Rokas, will pay a visit to Kumanovo on Thursday, with the purpose of bringing the European Union and the integration process closer to the citizens while discussing the benefits of EU accession and the impact of Union assistance on everyday life.

Ambassador Rokas is set to meet with Kumanovo Mayor Maksim Dimitrievski and the Municipal Council.

On this occasion, Ambassador Rokas will visit the EU-funded project “Green Economy – the Engine of Progress” which is part of the EU for Growth programme. The project is implemented by the cardboard and paper recycling company MIT Group whose objective is to reduce the amount of paper and cardboard waste as well as to reduce the air pollution in the Kumanovo region, the EU Delegation said in a press release.

He will also meet with representatives of the civil society organisations and take part in a debate with citizens “Ask the ambassador” in order to discuss issues related to the European path of North Macedonia.
