Skopje, 20 May 2026 (MIA) - The European Commission has approved a new tranche of EUR 65.7 million for the Republic of North Macedonia under the Reform and Growth Facility for the Western Balkans.
In a press release on Wednesday, the Ministry of European Affairs said the financial support is a firm confirmation that the country is successfully implementing reforms and key priorities in digitization, education, and institutional development, in line with European standards.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs Bekim Sali welcomed the EC’s decision, noting that it represents an important signal of trust and recognition for the country’s reform agenda.
“European integration is no longer just a political aspiration. Today, it is being transformed into concrete investments, support, and tangible opportunities for our citizens,” Sali said.
The Ministry said the funds are additional motivation for the continuation of reforms and efforts to strengthen the institutions and accelerate the country’s European path.
“The Ministry of European Affairs remains firmly committed to efficient coordination of reforms and ensuring European assistance is directly translated into a better living standard and more opportunities for the citizens,” the Ministry said.
