Bozhinovska to speak about energy transition, sustainable financing at ESG Adria Summit 2025


Skopje, 9 April 2025 (MIA) — Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources Sanja Bozhinovska is taking part in ESG Adria Summit 2025, an event promoting sustainable business in the Adriatic region, held in Tivat, Montenegro, on April 9-11.


According to an official press release, President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović gave opening remarks at the summit, wihich is in its third year. Attendees include Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and other senior officials.


ESG Adria Summit is the leading regional event on sustainable development and innovation as well as environmental, social and governance policies. 


This year, the event has gathered more than 700 participants, including government representatives, and representatives of business companies, financial institutions and international organizations.


Bozhinovska will take part in two panel discussions: "Mobilizing Capital for Green Projects" and "Energy Auctions as Catalysts for Renewable Energy Deployment in the Western Balkans," the latter organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. She will speak about the country's experiences related to energy transition and sustainable financing.


The energy minister will also take part in an event organized by the Energy Community Secretariat. There, she will give a 15-minute presentation together with Montenegro's Minister of Mining, Oil and Gas Admir Šahmanović.


While in Tivat, Bozhinovska is also set to hold several bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit, aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in the field of energy and sustainable development. mr/
