Skopje, 7 April 2026 (MIA) - Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources Sanja Bozhinovska met Tuesday in Washington with representatives of the Chevron Corporation, dedicated to the enhancement of energy cooperation and ensuring stable and diversified supply with oil and liquified natural gas.

Discussions focused on key topics for the country's energy future, including diversification of supply with oil and LNG, possibilities for penetration of U.S. oil companies on the Macedonian market, strengthening stability and competitiveness, as well as enhancement of energy security.

In addition, interlocutors tackled the potentials for further development of the energy sector through new investments and partnerships.

Besides the Washington leadership, the meeting also included an online presence of Chevron officials from various parts of the worls, including Beijing and Madrid, demonstrating the company's interest in the potential cooperation with North Macedonia, the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources said in a press release.
