Skopje, 30 December 2024 (MIA) - DUI leader Ali Ahmeti says he has no details over the whereabouts of former deputy PM Artan Grubi.

"I personally have no communication with Grubi and have no details over his current whereabouts. What I said yesterday was based on statements by Government officials but also by the fact that Grubi legally crossed the Macedonia - Kosovo border. I strongly believe that all citizens, including Grubi, deserve a due process," Ahmeti told TV21.

Earlier, today, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski expressed hope that the Prosecutor's Office will summon the DUI leader after Kosovo media reported on Sunday that Ahmeti has said the former deputy prime minister Artan Grubi is on Albanian territory and will return to the country only if there is no retributive and selective justice.

Grubi is one of the main suspects in the State Lottery case, suspected of abuse of office with the intention of unlawfully acquiring assets estimated at about Mden 500 million (EUR 8.1 million) from the company's budget.
