10.7% use public transport every day in EU, 9.6% in Macedonia

In 2024, 10.7% of people used public transport every day as a key part of sustainable urban transport in the European Union. In Macedonia, around 7% of people use a city bus every day, 2.6% use a coach bus and 0.06% use a train (total 9.6%). The data show large differences, indicating that while in some Skopje municipalities around 19% of citizens most often use the city bus, in the cities and towns across the country people mostly use organized transport.
