Skopje, 26 February 2026 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova will host on Friday Albanian President Bajram Begaj, who is paying an official visit to the country, said the Office of the Macedonian President. 

The Albanian President will be welcomed with the highest state and military honors at a ceremony in the President's Office, followed by a tête-à-tête meeting, as well as a plenary meeting of the Macedonian and Albanian delegations.

As part of the official visit, the Albanian President will lay a wreath at Goce Delchev's grave in the Skopje-based St. Spas Church.

On Thursday, Albanian President Begaj will meet with Chair Mayor Izet Mexhiti.

The Municipality of Chair said that Mayor Mexhiti, in the spirit of promoting institutional cooperation and consolidating excellent bilateral relations, will host a formal reception at the Municipality to welcome Albanian President Begaj, who is in an official visit to the country.

After the meeting, joined by their delegation, the two will head to the Mustafa Pasha Mosque, and visit the Old Bazaar, where they will lay flowers at the monument to the national hero Gjergj Kastriot - Skanderbeg, followed by a performance of the national anthem and a cultural and artistic program by the state ensemble.
