Bunford: North Macedonia unfairly left waiting at EU’s gates for 20 years

If the process is merit-based, North Macedonia and the other countries of the region deserve to become full-fledged members of the European Union, Hungary's special envoy for the Western Balkans Zsolt Bunford told journalists in Skopje on Wednesday. Bunford stressed that the country has been unfairly waiting at the EU’s gates for 20 years and that the EU accession process must be accelerated.
