Skopje, 17 December 2024 (MIA) — The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air, based in Budapest, will introduce new flights from Skopje to Barcelona, Spain; Stuttgart, Germany; and Lyon, France.

According to Skopje International Airport operator TAV Macedonia in a press release, the Barcelona flights will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, beginning in early May.

"We are delighted to announce bringing back Barcelona as a holiday destination from Skopje Airport as of May 3, 2025, operated by Wizz Air, especially because it was our passengers' most desired route," TAV Macedonia general manager Nejat Kurt is quoted as saying in the release.

Starting May 1, Wizz Air will offer its flights to Lyon on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; and starting Sept. 29, the airline will offer flights to Stuttgart on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The company said fares would cost as little as EUR 24.99 for one way tickets to Stuttgart, EUR 29.99 to Lyon, and EUR 31.99 to Barcelona. All three new flights can be booked as of Dec. 17. mr/
