Skopje, 20 February 2026 (MIA) — Mainly wet roads are reported nationwide with no delays at border crossings. Slushy snow and rockfalls may slow traffic in places.

Trucks and buses are banned on the roads between Popova Shapka and Tetovo, Mavrovo and Debar, Gostivar and Kichevo and at Strazha; cars are required to have chains or snow tires.

As of Nov. 15, 2025, winter equipment in vehicles is mandatory until Mar. 15, 2026.

Landslides are possible along the routes of Katlanovo – Veles, Mavrovo – Debar – Struga, Vinica – Berovo and Kochani – Delchevo.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully, adjust their speed to weather conditions and follow traffic rules, signs and signals.
